Statement of the Human Rights House Tbilisi and its Member Organizations about the Freezing of the Accounts of the Human Rights House Tbilisi and the Investigation Launched by the General Prosecutor’s Office of 'Georgian Dream'
We respond to the investigation initiated by the General Prosecutor’s Office of “Georgian Dream,” within the framework of which the bank accounts of several organizations and funds, including those of the Human Rights House Tbilisi (HRHT), have been frozen.

The Coalition for Equality categorically opposes the removal of the term 'gender' from Georgian legislation
A package of legislative amendments has been initiated in the illegitimate parliament of Georgia, which envisages the complete removal of the term “gender” from legislative acts and the abolition of gender councils. The aforementioned amendments contradict constitutional values, local and international standards of human rights protection.

On November 28th, the suspension of EU accession talks was publicly announced by the political party “Georgian Dream”, a decision in direct contravention of Georgia’s constitutional obligation “to take all measures within the scope of their competencies to ensure the full integration of Georgia into the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization”.
