Penitentiary Service is to pay GEL 30 000 a Victim of Torture in Moral Damages
In the case of torture, inhuman and degrading treatment committed in the penitentiary system of Georgia, the Special Penitentiary Service was imposed with payment of GEL 30 000 in favour of the person for whom HRC was pleading the cause.

The Appellate Court Upheld Nika Gvaramia’s Imprisonment on a Politically Motivated Case
Today, on November 2, the judges of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals, Merab Jorbenadze, Lavrenti Maghlakelidze and David Mamiseishvili found Nika Gvaramia, the former director of "Rustavi 2" and the founder of "TV Mtavari", guilty of abuse of power (two episodes - the so-called commercial airtime sale and the so-called vehicle episode). As a final sanction, he was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment.

HRC Press conference: Who is responsible for ‘death zone’ at Tbilisi Sea?
Tomorrow, on October 28, 13:00, HRC will hold a press conference on the judgment of today by Tbilisi Court of Appeals granting the appellate appeal by Tbilisi City Hall and reversing the judgment of Administrative Panel of Tbilisi City Court ordering in its turn Tbilisi City Hall to install warning banners next to the area of waterfalls at Tbilisi Sea and erect a wall of 2.5 m height along the line of waterfall channel.

All Political Prisoners were Acquitted in the Case of Kintsvisi with Human Rights Center providing Legal Aid
As a result of legal aid provided by Human Rights Center, Tbilisi Court of Appeals, twelve persons convicted in Kintsvisi case in 2011 who were recognized as political prisoners by the Parliament of Georgia were acquitted by Tbilisi Court of Appeals.
